MIDDLE RIVER, MD - OCTOBER 3, 2014 - Rodriguez Consulting, LLC (Rodriguez) is pleased to announce that the firm has been awarded a professional services contract with the Maryland Air National Guard (MANG) to perform an evaluation of the impervious surface cover and develop recommendations for implementing stormwater best management practices (BMPs) at the Warfield Air National Guard Base facility.  The purpose of the project is to assist MANG with compliance with the Maryland Department of Environment’s State/National Pollution Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) General Permit for Stormwater Discharges Associated With Industrial Activity (NPDES No. MDR00).

The project will be led by Senior Engineer, Sara Poindexter, and Project Engineer, Matthew Sherwood, a  U.S. Army Reserve First Lieutenant.  Rodriguez will assist MANG with the selection, design, installation, and implementation of BMPs that will reduce 20% of the untreated impervious surface area at the facility or equivalent measures for the reduction of nutrients.

The Maryland Air National Guard (MD ANG) is the air force militia of the State of Maryland, United States of America. It is, along with the Maryland Army National Guard, an element of the Maryland National Guard. The Warfield Air National Guard Base is the home base of the Maryland Air National Guard 175th Wing. It was named in honor of Major General Edwin "Ted" Warfield III, former adjutant general of Maryland, in 1982, and grandson of former Maryland Governor Edwin Warfield.
